By accessing or using Glide ("Service," "Platform," "App"), provided by Glide, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are under 18 years of age, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

Glide is an educational technology platform that provides:

• Integration with Learning Management Systems (LMS) including Canvas
• Google Workspace for Education integration and document management
• AI-powered study tools including study guides, practice quizzes, and academic analytics
• Course management and assignment tracking
• Note-taking and document creation tools
• Academic performance analytics and insights

3. Educational Data and Student Privacy

3.1 FERPA Compliance

We comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and act as a school official with legitimate educational interests when processing student educational records on behalf of educational institutions.

3.2 COPPA Compliance

For users under 13 years of age, we comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we discover we have collected information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will delete such information immediately.

3.3 Student Data Authorization

By using the Service, educational institutions and users authorize us to:

• Access and process educational records and data from connected LMS platforms
• Store and analyze academic performance data for educational purposes
• Generate insights and recommendations to improve learning outcomes
• Integrate with Google Workspace for Education for document management

4. Google Workspace Integration

4.1 Google API Services Compliance

Our integration with Google services complies with Google's API Services User Data Policy. We:

• Request only necessary permissions for educational functionality
• Use Google user data solely for providing and improving educational services
• Do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary for service provision
• Maintain appropriate security measures for Google user data

4.2 OAuth Consent and Permissions

The Service requests the following Google API scopes:

• drive.file - Create and manage educational documents in Google Drive

5. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Uses

You may use the Service for legitimate educational purposes, including:

• Managing coursework and assignments
• Creating and organizing study materials
• Collaborating on educational projects
• Tracking academic progress

5.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Share login credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or accounts
• Upload, share, or create content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate
• Use the Service to cheat, plagiarize, or engage in academic dishonesty
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service's functionality or security
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLIDE, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
